Tata Steel wins CII Award for �Sustained Level of High Overall Productivity�

Jamshedpur, December 19: Tata Steel has bagged the CII Eastern Region Productivity Award 2016 Trophy for Sustained Improvement in Overall Productivity.

The rotating Trophy was awarded to Tata Steel by Yatish Kumar, Director, Indian Railways, in Manufacturing Excellence Conclave held on December 17, 2016 at The Gateway Hotel, Kolkata.

The Award was received by Rama Shanker Singh, Head Productivity Services on behalf of Tata Steel.

This award is given to an organisation for its efforts in achieving sustained level of improvement in Productivity over the past five years considering multiple dimensions of productivity such as Employees, Material, Machine, Capital etc.

The selection was based on evaluation of the application followed by presentation to a panel of Jury.
