Tata Steel wins ACE Awards by Indian Circular Economy Forum

Jamshedpur, August 5: Tata Steel has been conferred ACE Award 2025 in the “Large Enterprise” category by the Indian Circular Economy Forum (ICEF). The recognition is testament to Tata Steel’s exemplary leadership in integrating circular economy principles and sustainable practices in large-scale industrial operations.

Dipankar Dasgupta, Executive-In-Charge, Industrial By-products Management Division (IBMD), Amit Ranjan, COMS, IBMD, Amit Kumar Mahato, Head-Marketing & Business Development, IBMD and other senior officials received the award on behalf of Tata Steel during a ceremony held on July 31 at Gurugram, Delhi-NCR.

Tata Steel has been pioneering value creation from the industrial by-products in its quest to contribute to a sustainable ecosystem in Iron and Steel industry. The by-products generated across the Steel Value chain are managed through a dedicated profit centre called the Industrial By-Product Management Division (IBMD) – which operates with a ‘Zero Waste’ goal, with clearly defined environment and sustainability policies of the organization, and on the 3R principles of circular economy.

Tata Steel is dedicated to achieve Net Zero target by 2045 as a part of the Tata Group level “Aalingana” initiative.

Tata Steel was also appreciated and recognised for its continuous effort in promoting sustainable practices and being the front-runner in waste and by-products management on a large scale.
