Tata Steel West Bokaro Division starts biometric attendance for contract workers

West Bokaro, March 29 : �Biometric Attendance Recording System� for contract workers was inaugurated today by Sahabji Kuchroo, Chief Operations, Tata Steel (West Bokaro) along with Mr Mohan Mahto, President Rastriya Colliery Mazdoor Sangh (RCMS) in the presence of Mr Praveen Sinha, Chief, HRM, Tata Steel (West Bokaro), Mr Anurag Dixit, Chief, Quary SE, Tata Steel (West Bokaro) and Mr Mayank Shekhar, Chief, Quarry AB, Tata Steel (West Bokaro) at CMC, West Bokaro.

Under the �Biometric Attendance Recording System�, a total of 24 badge readers have been installed across West Bokaro Division to capture error free attendance of employees working under various service providers like Tractor India Limited (TIL), Voltas, Goodyear, etc.

This will help in capturing error free real-time attendance information that will help in ensuring proper payments to contract workers.
Among others present on the occasion were senior officials of Tata Steel, Union officials and employees of various service providers.
It is worth mentioning here that this is the first of its kind attendance recording system launched for the contract employees in the region.
