Jamshedpur, January 16: Tata Steel Utilities and Infrastructure Services Limited (former JUSCO) launched the Road Safety Month awareness campaign to make people aware of the road accidents that happen every day in Jamshedpur.
MD Tata Steel UISL Rituraj Sinha and Raghunath Pandey, Union President, inaugurated the program jointly and flagged off more than 50 vehicles involved in the company’s work, including the Chetna Awareness Chariot.

Addressing the employees present on the occasion, Rituraj Sinha said that this awareness chariot will go to different parts of the city to make people aware of safe vehicle driving and road safety. He also made his employees aware that they themselves should drive vehicles with full safety measures while commuting.
While talking to the media, he has also appealed to the residents that widening the road and making flat road is their compulsion because the way the population and vehicles are increasing day by day in the city. According to statistics, only 8 to 10,000 cars are sold in Jamshedpur every year, in such a situation drive with safety belt in a limited speed only, so that the possibility of accident is reduced and other people are also safe.
Road safety month is celebrated across the country from mid-Jan to mid-Feb every year to bring awareness on road safety. We are organizing the same in association with Tata Steel to sensitize people on road safety. The beneficiary of the programme will be employees and the entire community.
