Jamshedpur, December 1: Tata Steel UISL (formerly Jusco), the electricity providing company in Seraikela-Kharsawan, has revised its tariff.
Under this, the electricity tariff of low tension industrial service (LTIS) has been amended and its rate has been fixed afresh. This proposal has been approved by the Jharkhand State Electricity Regulatory Commission.
Under this, it was initially decided that customers will have to pay a fixed charge of Rs 150 per kilowatt per month for the electricity of mission industrial service, while the energy charge will be Rs 4.15 per unit.
But now it has been decided that everyone will be given a fixed charge of Rs 150 per kilowatt, but instead of Rs 4.15, now they will have to pay Rs 4.50. Approval has been given by the Commission, under which an increase of 35 paise per unit has been made. The new rate is being implemented from the month of October itself. LTIS customers have single phase supply of 230 volts or three phase supply of 400 volts. After increasing it in two years, they are being revised once again.
