Tata Steel UISL conducts rabies awareness training for trainers

Jamshedpur, January 8: Tata Steel UISL organised rabies awareness training for trainers, aimed at empowering trainers with vital knowledge about rabies prevention, symptoms, vaccination protocols, and essential safety measures. The session aligns with the Government of India’s ambitious target of achieving Zero Rabies by 2030.

During the training, participants were briefed on various aspects of rabies, including:  Understanding Rabies: Causes, transmission, and the impact on human and animal health.  Vaccination Protocols: Pre-exposure and post-exposure rabies vaccination schedules.  Symptoms of Rabies: Early warning signs and progression of the disease.  Dos and Don’ts: Preventive measures to minimize risk and appropriate actions in case of potential exposure.

A total of 58 employees participated in the session, gaining valuable insights that will enable them to conduct awareness programs for school students. By equipping young minds with accurate information and preventive strategies, this initiative aims to build a more informed and prepared community to combat rabies.
