Tata Steel team wins maiden Bengal Club Gold Cup TT Championship

�Jamshedpur, Oct 2: Tata Steel Table Tennis team won the prestigious Bengal Club Gold Cup Table Tennis Championship held at Kolkata Bengal Club from September 27-29, 2019.

 The event organised by West Bengal Table Tennis Association witnessed participation of over 100 participants from total 14 Company and Corporate Club teams. Notably, the Tata Steel Table Tennis team has lifted the Trophy for the first time in this prestigious tournament.

Four teams qualifying in the semifinals included Tata Steel, TCS, Dalhousie Institute and IMRB (International Market Research Bureau). Tata Steel defeated Dalhousie Institute 3-1 in the finals.

Team Members of Tata Steel were Pravesh Narang, Dinesh Rakshit, Mayank Thakur, Sagar Khetia, Swapnil Despande and Amit Kumar.

Mayank Thakur and Dinesh Rakshit entered the individual Singles final. Mayank Thakur won the individual Singles Championship while Dinesh Rakshit emerged runner-up.
