
Jamshedpur, August 7: Swimmers from Tata Steel Swimming Training Centre won total 50 medals including 27 Gold, 14 Silver and nine Bronze during the recently concluded Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) Zonal Swimming Championship held at JRD Tata Sports Complex on July 27.
The event organised by the Loyola School saw prize winners in Girls section Aryana Parikh, Anushka Agarwal and Lavya Gautam who secured three Gold medals each while in Boys section Aryan Raj and Dipanshu Choudhury secured three Gold medals each.
Ayush Kumar Singh, Dependu Samanta, Diya Madiya performed well with a haul of two Gold medals each in their respective sections.
Carmel Junior College was crowned the overall winner. Total of 66 participants representing 16 schools from Bihar and Jharkhand participated in the championship. Three schools from Patna and one from Dhanbad also participated. On basis of the performance regional team will be selected that will participate in national championship.
Tata Steel Sports Department officials have congratulated the cadets for their stellar performance in the meet.
