Tata Steel Plans to host World Sport Climbing in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: Tata Steel plans to host the World Sports Climbing in Jamshedpur this year. D B Sundara Ramam, vice president, corporate services, Tata Steel, said that the sports department has achieved major milestones in Sport Climbing over the years, and now efforts are being made to host the World Sport Climbing in Jamshedpur.

Ramam added that the TSAF Sport Climbing Academy won the National Championship title for the fifth consecutive time. The 29th National Sport Climbing Championship 2025 was held in Bengaluru from 26 to 29 December 2025.

Players from the TSAF Sport Climbing Academy participated in the championship representing the IMF East Zone. In this national competition, Sub Junior Boys and Girls, Junior Boys and Girls and competitions of open men and women categories were organised. Competitions were held in three disciplines – lead, speed, and bouldering. The company will take every step to ensure that World Sport Climbing is hosted in Jamshedpur.
