Jamshedpur : Urban Services impart trainings in various sporting disciplines across its twelve community centres.
Such trainings help in identifying and nurturing latent sports talent and also provide constructive guidance to the youth. Urban Services units organise Inter-Centre events on a regular basis to prepare budding players for state and national level competitions.
In its endeavour to inculcate a spirit of competitiveness among the youth of the community centres, Urban Services, Tata Steel organised an �Inter Centre Yuvak Dal Volleyball Tournament� yesterday at Security Training Centre Ground, Jamshedpur.
The Yuvak Dal, a group of children from standard 7th, 8th and 9th who volunteer in various Centre activities and also participate in the community services. A total of 12 teams from each community centre participated in this tournament. Around 120 participants from various centres took part in this programme.
This Financial Year, various events have been planned for the Yuvak Dal, starting off with this event. P Sashi Dharan, N.I.S. Volleyball Coach & National Volleyball Referee graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and awarded the winners.
