Jamshedpur, March 27: Dr Mandar Mahavir Shah, Chief Consultant & Head Cardiology, Tata Main Hospital, delivered the keynote address on “Technological Interventions in saving lives” as part of ‘Safe Talk’ organised by the Tata Steel Safety Department at Steelennium Hall inside Jamshedpur Works.
During his address, Dr Shah elaborated the major advancements in the development of Cardiology from traditional methods to current practices of digitally assisted minimum invasive procedures.
He informed about the latest cathlab facilities available at TMH besides the latest diagnostic and treatment facilities and options available in TMH. He explained the audience about importance of timely intervention that helps in saving many precious lives particularly of patients reporting in critical conditions.
From traditional Cardiography methods to currently popular “hand-held devices & mobile enhanced devices”, he shared glimpses of current devices, modes of diagnosis and intervention methods used in various situations. He highlighted how timely starting of treatment from onset of symptoms could save innumerable lives, the earlier the better will be results. The informative speech aptly illustrated by example cases, was well received by the audience.
The session concluded with, Dr Shah answering queries from audience. The session put spotlight on matters that affects heart most. He gave assurance that local citizens hearts are in ‘safe hands’.
