Jamshedpur, Nov 26: K Vishwanath Narendran, 87, father of Tata Steel CEO cum Managing Director TV Narendran, passed away on Tuesday. He was undergoing treatment for age-related illness at Tata Main Hospital. He breathed his last early in the morning. He was cremated at Parvati Ghat, Bistupur.

TV Narendran reached his residence with his father�s body around 10.45 am. Many well-wishers and acquaintances from corporate world and numerous organizations visited his residence to console him and pay last tributes to the departed soul.

K Vishwanath Narendran was an employee in a Tata Group company. He is survived by a large family. Earlier, in December last year, his wife Indira Vishwanathan had passed away.

Those who paid tributes to Narendran senior included Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato, Laxman Tudu, Amarpreet Singh Kale, Kulwant Singh Bunty, former Tata Workers Union president RBB Singh, Raghunath Pandey, PN Singh, TWU president R Ravi Prasad, Arvind Pandey, Ashok Bhalotia and Tata Motors plant head Vishal Badshah.
