Jamshedpur, September 18: Tata Steel Jamshedpur (TSJ) achieved a significant milestone at the 25th National Awards for Excellence in Energy Management 2024, held at Hyderabad between September 10-12.
TSJ was recognised as the National Energy Leader in Energy Management for the first time. TSJ also secured the Excellent Energy Efficient Unit and Most Useful Presentation awards in the Metals category. The remarkable achievement is testament to the Company’s commitment to energy efficiency and innovation.

The winning team comprised members from the Iron Making, Shared Services (FMD), Steel Making, Environment Management and Shikhar divisions. It included Nitin Lodha, Vipul Gupta, Muruganarayanan G, Pratyush Ranjan Samantaray, Smriti Mishra, and Priyanshu Sinha.
The National Energy Leader award was presented by Milind Deore, Director at Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power, Government of India; Ravichandran Purushothaman, Chairman, Energy Efficiency Council, CII-Godrej GBC; and Sai D Prasad, Chairman, CII Telangana State Council and Executive Director of Bharat Biotech.
