Jamshedpur, Nov 17: Tata Steel is going to start a three year non-residential diploma certificate courses for its permanent employees very soon. Applications have been invited from those interested, sources said.
Sources said the Learning and Development department of the company at SNTI has issued an advertisement in this regard.
As per the advertisement, the applications can be submitted by the employees of Jamshedpur Works, Tubes Division, Tata Growth Shop, Kalinganagar, Meramandail, Sahibabad, Khapoli, Bearing Division, Hooghly Mate Coke, Jharia, West Bengal, Joda, Bamnipal and OMQ. These courses would be conducted in the evening and the successful employees would get diploma in the end. Those passing the diploma courses would get opportunities in internal vacancies. Priority would be given to the employees of mechanical, electrical and metallurgy.
The entrance exam will have Matriculation level questions in English, Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Tata Steel Safety and TQM. Diploma would be awarded at the successful completion of the course. Training would be given through e-learning. The written exam would be held between 12th to 16th December. The last date for applying online is 25th November. The age of applicants should be below 45 years on 1st December 2022, sources said.
