Jamshedpur, June 11: The India U17 women’s team that is preparing for the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup was hosted by Tata Steel for a High Tea event at the JFC Hospitality Lounge in JRD Tata Sports Complex on Saturday, June 11.
The young and aspiring girls completed a 10-month long camp in Jamshedpur. The team will fly for an International exposure trip on 20th June to Italy and Norway for 21 days and then return to India to continue their preparations for the world cup.
The event was chaired by Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President, Corporate Services, Tata Steel. He exchanged pleasantries with the U17 Women’s Team Head Coach Thomas Dennerby.
India is all set to host its first-ever FIFA women’s tournament when 16 teams make their way to the country for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup India 2022 this October.
The FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup India 2022, to be hosted in Bhubaneswar, Goa and Navi Mumbai, will be played from 11-30 October 2022.
