Tata Steel holds CPR-BLS training on Emergency Medicine Day

Jamshedpur, May 28: Tata Steel Medical Services marked World Emergency Medicine Day with a CPR BLS (Basic Life Support) Training Session for its employees at Steelennium Hall.

The event was attended by over 500 employees, both physically and online, including doctors from Tata Main Hospital (TMH) and Union Committee Members.

Chief Guest D B Sundara Ramam, Vice President Corporate Services, Tata Steel and Guest of Honour Sanjeev Kumar Choudhury, President, Tata Workers’ Union, emphasised the importance of learning CPR.

Dr. Vinita Singh, General Manager, Medical Services addressed the audience, highlighting the significance of emergency preparedness at TMH.

Dr. Binita Panigrahi, HOD Emergency, TMH, demonstrated BLS techniques, while Dr. Sharad Kumar, Administrator and Senior Consultant, showcased CPR committee activities done inside and outside TMH.

The session provided hands-on training to participants, highlighting Tata Steel’s commitment to emergency preparedness and response.

Dr Ashok Sunder, Chief Medical Indoor Services, extended Vote of Thanks.

TMH has also planned week-long activities starting from May 27 to June 2 on the occasion of World Emergency Medicine Day. The activities include Hands-on workshop on Trauma skills and Advanced Life Support skills (for doctors of TMH including DNB residents and interns), quiz for all doctors and DNB residents including RM locations and OHCs and Talk on Wellness and Stress Management for Health Care Providers.
