Jamshedpur, May 23: Two athletes from Tata Steel Foundation’s Namda Centre under Urban Services, brought international recognition by excelling at the International Karate Championship held in Lumbini, Nepal, from May 16 to 18, 2025.
Representing India in the Seniors Category (18+ years), both athletes demonstrated outstanding skill, determination, and sportsmanship on the global stage. Abhijeet Kumar Singh emerged as a double gold medalist, clinching top honours in both Kumite and Kata. His commanding performance and laser-sharp focus earned him the title of double champion.

Surya Dev Kumar also impressed with his spirited display, winning a gold medal in Kumite and a bronze in Kata. His balance of strength and technique underscored the high level of training and discipline fostered at the Namda Centre.
