Cold blooded murder of wife, 2 daughters, killing and rape of tuition teacher
Jamshedpur, April 6: Tata Steel fire department employee Deepak Kumar, a resident of Kadma Teesta Road, was sentenced to death by the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Rajendra Kumar Sinha for the murder of his wife, two daughters and a tuition teacher in Jamshedpur.
On April 1, the court convicted Deepak Kumar under sections 302, 307, 201, 376(1), 389. Deepak Kumar was presented through VC during the verdict.
Deepak Kumar’s brother-in-law Anand Sahu was present in the court when the verdict was pronounced. Apart from Additional Public Prosecutor Rajeev Kumar from the prosecution side, advocates Jolly Das, Kartik Dey, Harvilas Das, Dilip Gorai and Jayant Kumar were present. Advocate Amit Kumar Singh appointed by Dalsa was present from the defence side.
Anand Sahu, brother of the deceased Veena Devi, reached the court on Thursday to hear the verdict. After being sentenced by the court, he said that he had full faith in the judiciary. He destroyed the family while laughing. Two innocent girls were killed by him.
In this case, 25 people testified in the court. During the hearing, neither the family of the tuition teacher nor the family members of Deepak Kumar had reached the court. Additional Public Prosecutor Rajeev Kumar and prosecution lawyer Jolly Das said that the case was rare of rarest. For this reason, the accused has been sentenced to death.
Deepak Kumar killed his wife Veena Kumari, two daughters Shravani, Shanvi and tuition teacher Rinki Ghosh, resident of Kadma Ramjanamnagar, with a hammer on 12 April 2021 at quarter number 99, Kadma Teesta Road. The district police team arrested Deepak on 17 April 2021 from Dhanbad.
After Deepak’s arrest, the police recovered his bike (bullet) from Rourkela.
Deepak was arrested in Dhanbad when he had reached the bank to deposit money in his brother’s account. The knife used in the murder, three ATM cards, One lakh rupees, PAN card and mobile phone were recovered at his instance. The police recovered a bloodstained hammer from the spot. It is said that Deepak Kumar used to watch web series Serial Killer, Paatal Lok and Asura etc. before the incident.
It is said that on the day of the incident, Deepak first hit his wife on the head with a hammer and made her unconscious. After this, he killed her by pressing her face with a pillow. After this, he killed both his daughters. At 11 am, when the teacher came home to teach the younger daughter, Deepak threatened her with a knife and asked for her scooty till six in the evening, threatening to stay in the room till then. On seeing the knife, the teacher started making noise.
While running here and there, she went towards the room where the dead bodies of the wife and children were lying. When Deepak felt that he would be trapped, he tied the hands of the teacher with tape and put tape on her mouth as well. After that, the teacher was strangled to death. After killing, he had raped the dead body. After that the dead body was put in the box of the bed.
