Jamshedpur : A Tata Steel employee ended his life by choosing noose on the terrace of the single storied OPD block of the Tata Main Hospital in Bistupur this morning.
T Ramana Rao, made a noose out of a rope used for construction activities carried out in OPD unit and hanged self from the scaffolding used in the construction work at around 10.30 am.
The body was found hanging by the construction workers who reported it to the hospital security guards. A resident of Kulsi Road of Sakchi is survived by his wife T Jayalakshmi and an unmarried daughter. Wife and daughter of the deceased refused to speak to media after the incident.
�It is too early to comment as to what led him to commit suicide. We searched the medical book and found that the person has had a history of chronic ailments. In fact, as per the medical book he was scheduled for an OPD appointment with a psychiatric doctor this morning,� said Bistupur police station officer-in-charge, Awadh Kumar Yadav. Police also informed that no suicide note has been found from the possession of the deceased.
