Tata Steel crowned JSA League Champions

Jamshedpur, August 13: The Final match of the JSA League Premier Division turned out to be an evenly matched battle as both Tata Motors and Tata Steel were left with 1-1 scoreline after the end of injury time and penalty shootout but Tata Steel came out the lucky one winning the match and the tournament on tie breaker 4-2 in the match played at JRD Tata Sports complex on Wednesday.

Unlucky Tata Motors were declared the runners up for the event.

Earlier Deepak Tudu opened the scoring for the Tata Motors side in the 4th minute and was looking the favourites to clinch the title after the first half ended with 1-0 scoreline.

In the second half Jagtu Hembar of Tata Steel pulled one back in the 76th minute to make it 1-1 which was later turned into penalty shootout.

On the occasion Alok Kanagat, Vice President (Engineering Services) Tata Steel was the Chief Guest who handed over the prizes to the winners and runners up of Super Division, A Division & Premier Division.
