Tata Steel asked to withdraw Jamshedpur lease case from apex court

Ranchi, July 28: Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that the officers of Tata Steel will be considered for Jamshedpur lease.

They will be asked to withdraw the case from the Supreme Court and take lease revision permission from Bombay Board. Then three industrial townships out of the five will be brought under Industrial Township and the remaining two will remain under Municipal Corporation.

Under this, the steel plants on 1700 acre area, quarter area, factory and quarters in sub-lease area will be brought under Industrial Township. He said it while chairing a meeting on granting municipal management to Jamshedpur lease and Jamshedpur city.

It was decided in the meeting that habitations and others on empty land will be included in Municipal corporation with required amenities from the govt. Mango and J.N.A.C. will be included in municipal corporation and Jugsalai will be developed as City Council. UDD principal secretary Arun Kr. Singh will talk with the Tata officials in this regard.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Saryu Rai, UDD minister C. P. Singh, Sports Minister Amar Kr. Bauri, chief secretary Raj Bala Verma, Development Commissioner Amit Khare, principal secretary to the CM Sanjay Kumar, UDD principal secretary Arun Kr. Singh, secretary to the CM Sunil Kr. Barnwal, Revenue Department secretary K. K. Sone, Advocate General Vinod Kr. Poddar and other officers were present in the meeting.
