Tata Motors Workers Union volleyball tournament begins; Harrier and Tiago lead day 1

Jamshedpur, Dec 12: The Tata Motors Workers Union’s three-day volleyball tournament began on Friday with great enthusiasm. A total of six matches were played on the opening day. HR Head Pranav Kumar, ER Head Soumik Roy, Union President Shashi Bhushan Prasad, General Secretary R.K. Singh, Rajat Singh, Amar Singh and others inaugurated the tournament. Guests were welcomed with plant saplings, and the programme was conducted by Prakash Vishwakarma.

The first match was played between Signa and Safari, where Safari secured the win. In the second match, Tiago defeated Prima. Harrier won the third match against Tigor, showing strong form. The fourth match saw Nexon beating Punch.

In the fifth match of the day, Harrier again emerged victorious, this time against Safari, marking their second win. The final match was played between Tiago and Punch, where Tiago secured another win, taking their tally to two victories as well.

By the end of the first day, Harrier and Tiago led the points table with two wins each, while Safari and Nexon registered one win each.

Union President Shashi Bhushan Prasad and General Secretary R.K. Singh also joined the tournament, playing alongside participants and boosting their morale.
