Jamshedpur, June 19: Tata Motors, Jamshedpur plant, received CII-GreenCo Best Practices Award 2016 for its Innovative Project on “Water Conservation.” The award event was organized on June 15 in Green Co summit at Hyderabad.
Total 34 industries had submitted 69 best practices projects, out of which 18 projects were shortlisted for award and they made their presentation during the summit.
The other major industries like ACC Ltd, Godrej & Boyce, Bangalore and Delhi International Airports, Ultratech Cement, Kirlokaskar, HPCL, Nippon Paint, Lucas TVS, Hindustan Unilever Ltd., Mysore, ITC Paper Vhadhrachalam etc. were also awarded for their best practices on waste management, landscaping and biodiversity material conservation, green supply chain, renewal energy and GHG emission reduction etc.
The award was handed over by Nitin Desai, Member, Prime Minister’s Council on Climate Change, to Tata Motors, Jamshedpur. On behalf of the organization, Manoj Ram, DGM (Construction, CPED & Environment), Mukteshwar Verma, AGM (Environment & Energy Management) and Prashant Krishnan, D. M. (Environment & Energy Management) received the award. The presentation was made by Prashant Krishnan on behalf of TML, Jamshedpur.
