Jamshedpur: The Tata Motors Workers’ Union passed several landmark resolutions during its Annual General Meeting (AGM) this Saturday. A record 5,225 members gathered at the Jamshedpur plant to reshape the Union’s future. Most notably, the General Body voted to incorporate the Central Government’s four new labour codes into the Union’s constitution.
Members also unanimously approved the 2025 income statement and backed a proposal to seek re-employment for dismissed workers. Furthermore, the Union resolved to conclude the upcoming wage settlement within a strict timeframe. These decisive steps were taken with a unanimous show of hands, signaling total unity across the workforce.
A “Historic” Grade Revision Ahead
General Secretary R.K. Singh addressed the massive crowd with an optimistic message. He stated that the Union has grown stronger despite attempts by outsiders to weaken it.

Upcoming March Events
In addition to policy changes, Singh announced two major upcoming events. First, the Union will host a Mega Blood Donation Camp on March 3. Second, workers will participate in the unveiling of the Tata Sahib statue on Founder’s Day.
Focus on Women and Equality
Joint General Secretary H.S. Saini praised the high number of women employees at the meeting. He noted that women are now working “shoulder to shoulder” with men across all departments. Finally, the meeting ended with a one-minute silence to honor deceased colleagues.
