Jamshedpur, Oct 10: Inter School and Inter Team Basketball tournament was inaugurated on Tuesday at TML (Tata Motors Ltd) Sports Complex. Seven teams in the schools’ category including VBCB, Gulmohar, Little Flower, Hill Top, Loyola School, Siksha Niketan and Vivek Vidyalaya and six teams in the Divisional groups comprising Indigo Fighters, Nano Warriors, Prima Challengers, Safari Royals, Trans Axle and Tata Cummins were participating in the sports competition organized by Tata Motors. Senior Manager (Administration & Security) Vishal Kumar and Senior Manager (Town Admin & Sports) Ashish Ranjan Sen were the chief guests during the opening ceremony.
In the Inter School Category, Gulmohar High School beat Loyola School 32-12; Vidya Bharati Chinmaya Vidyalaya (VBCV) beat Hill Top School 50-18; Little Flower School did not turn up giving Vivek Vidyalaya a walk over.
In the Inter Team category, Indigo Fighters beat Safari Royals 30 – 25; Tata Cummins gave a walkover to Nano Warriors. (w/gsd)
