Jamshedpur, Feb 22: In yet another tragic incident in the steel city, Brajesh Sahay, AGM, Tata Motors was shot dead in front of Bunglaow No. C-18, Dalma Road at Nildih Enclave �by two unidentified men at Saturday night at around 9.30 pm.
The Tata Motors officer, identified as Brajesh Sahay, a resident of Nildih, Telco had just arrived at his residence when he was gunned down outside his house and he died on the spot. The shooters fled from the scene immediately. According to police sources, the assailants escaped the site of occurrence on foot. Five empty cartridges have been recovered from the site of occurrence.
Police sources said that Brajesh Sahay reached his residence at around 9.15 p.m. in his black Indigo car. At the gate, he disembarked from his car and was opening the gate when he was fired at from behind. He died on the spot. Hearing the commotion, his wife and neighbours rushed out, �but by then the assailants had escaped. His wife rushed his body to Tata Motors Hospital, where the doctors declared him dead.
As soon as the information reached them, top Tata Motors officers including Capt. P J Singh, Chandra Bhan Singh, general secretary, Telco Workers’ Union and other union office-bearers rushed to Tata Motors Hospital. Senior SP and other police officers too had arrived at the hospital.
Late Brajesh Sahay was an engineer and had done PGDBM from XLRI.
The matter is still under investigation and there has been no�arrest yet.
