Tata Motors Management-Union reach amicable accord on Long Term four year Settlement

Jamshedpur, April 23:  A Memorandum of Long Term Settlement of four years for the period between fiscal year ’22 and ‘26 was signed between Tata Motors Jamshedpur Management and Tata Motors Workers’ Union on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the Jamshedpur Plant. The signing of the agreement was completed in the presence of VP Operations, CVBU AB Lall , VP(HR)- Sitaram Kandi and CVBU (HR Head) Biswaroop Mukherjee.

The Long Term Settlement was signed by Tata Motors Jamshedpur Plant Head Vishal Badshah, Srinivasan P (Head HR), Deepak Kumar (Head ER) and other senior management officials while Tata Motors Jamshedpur Union Leaders Gurmeet Singh Tote (President), R K Singh (General Secretary) and Union Office Bearers put their signatures on the Long Term Settlement Agreement in the presence of Deputy Labour Commissioner, Jamshedpur, Rajesh Prasad.

Key Highlights of the Settlement :

The key highlights of the settlement include fixed pay increase of Rs 14,000, variable pay increase with maximum benefit up to Rs 3,000, one time signing bonus of Rs 20,000 for LTS on time, salary enhancement of Rs 4,000 for temporary employees and permanency of 151 temporary (Bi-Six) workers.

After signing of the Long Term Settlement,  Plant Head Vishal Badshah, congratulating the Tata Motors Employees Union and other employees for the Long Term settlement Agreement, said,”I appreciate the Uunion  for the cooperation, support and positive outlook towards the growth of the organization. I wish the entire Jamshedpur Team the very best and all success in coming years.”

On the Occasion Vice President (Operations), A B Lall observed, “I congratulate both the Management and the Union teams for reaching the long-term wage agreement on time and in a very amicable manner.  This Settlement will bring happiness and goodwill among the employees and their family members. I wish Jamshedpur Plant all success and urge the team to continue to strengthen the mutual cooperation and trust that have been built over the years.”
