Jamshedpur, Jan 27: Dr Sanjay Kumar, Head of Tata Motors Medical Services, informed about measures that have been undertaken by the company on a war footing in its fight against COVID-19. He said that Tata Motors Hospital in Jamshedpur has been in the forefront against Coronavirus prevention and containment.
The Hospital team had taken precautionary measures for the prevention of the viral infection through Occupational Health Center (OHC) of the Jamshedpur plant of Tata Motors. The company campaigned for vaccination with dedicated treatment rooms and isolation facilities for the treatment of COVID-19 patients. Besides, the Company was also organizing awareness programs along with provisions of other facilities in its hospital.
During the vaccination drive in the city, more than 2.41 lakh people had been provided inoculation. The Hospital had been equipped with the facility of a separate ward for COVID-19 patients. A special ward for children and a separate section of ICU for critically ill patients had been arranged.
In addition, an isolation ward had been set up in the outskirts of the Hospital, where accommodation for more than 100 patients had been set up. Special arrangements had been made in the Hospital for mothers with COVID infection. Doctors and other health workers of the TM Hospital were undertaking awareness campaign against COVID-19 infection. Surveillance testing had been activated for all frontline workers and employees of the Company and its Hospital.
In view of increasing cases of COVID infection, online and tele-consultation had been made available for all patients to help reduce the COVID infection risks. One to One Help Health Organization had been partnered with to provide guidance for better mental health for COVID-19 patients and their families.
