Jamshedpur, September 5: Tata Motors chassis bookings were closed by Tata Motors convoy drivers on Tuesday. It was said by the convoy drivers that neither the cremation of Dinesh Pandey will be done nor booking of chassis will be done till the Tata Motors management does not give compensation.
In this regard, Gyan Sagar Prasad, leader of Tata Motors Convoy Driver Sangh alleged that safety standards are not followed by Tata Motors.
Under the safety standards, it is necessary by law to insure the drivers of the convoy. But the law is violated by Tata Motors. But no action is taken against Tata Motors by the district administration and the government. Due to which the families of the convoy drivers do not get any compensation if they die in a road accident.
Gyan Sagar Prasad said that the last rites of Dinesh Pandey will not be performed till the company management gives Rs 20 lakh compensation to the dependents.
Incidentally, while taking chassis from Jamshedpur to Bilaspur, Dinesh Pandey, collided with the chassis running ahead at 4 am on Sunday (September 3) near Janjgir Mukund Chowk. He had died in this accident.
