Tata Motors Jamshedpur bags two Corporate Awards for blood donation

Blood donors felicitated at annual function

Jamshedpur, Dec 1: Tata Motors organised annual blood donors’ felicitation function at Telco Club on Wednesday, December 1 to honour diamond, platinum and golden blood donors.

Chief Guest for the occasion was Tata Motors Jamshedpur Plant Head Vishal Badshah. Ruchi Narendra, Chairperson, Jamshedpur Blood Bank, Gurmeet Singh, President, Tata Motors Workers Union, RK Singh, General Secretary, Tata Motors Workers Union were present as the guest of honour.

Tata Motors Jamshedpur plant collected 3357 units of blood for Jamshedpur Blood Bank despite Covid challenges.

Jamshedpur plant bagged two best corporate awards for the year 2020-21. Tata Motors received award from Voluntary Blood Donors Association (VBDA) and from East Singhbhum Red Cross Society for highest unit of blood collection.

Addressing the gathering, Vishal Badshah said, “Jamshedpur tops in blood donation as people here are aware of their social rights. There are so many residents who have donated blood more than 100 times and we must keep Jamshedpur flag flying high in blood donation and keep this record intact.”    

Bhasker Chatterjee was presented with certificate and memento for donating blood 50 times by Vishal Badshah.     

At the event, MK Singh from Central Maintenance joined the Golden Jubilee Donors Club and was felicitated for donating blood 50 times. 25 Platinum donors (75 times), 19 Diamond donors (100 times) and 93 Golden donors (50 times) and 60 blood donors who have donated blood 25 times were also felicitated.    

Special Awards were presented for SDP donors.

In the manufacturing area Vehicle Factory, Trim Factory, Axle was awarded for blood donation by plant head Vishal Badshah.  

QA, PE, CCE was felicitated with special award by Ruchi Narendran in non-manufacturing area.
