Jamshedpur

The Tata Motors management issued an official circular on Thursday announcing a one-day block closure at its Jamshedpur plant on Saturday, June 13. Since the following day, June 14, is a Sunday (the weekly off), operations at the plant will remain suspended for two consecutive days. Regular operations are scheduled to resume directly on Monday, June 15.

According to the circular, employees affected by the block closure will have to utilize 50% of their Privilege Leave (PL) or Casual Leave (CL) for the day. For the remaining 50% of the duration, they will receive their normal salary from the company.

Employees whose services are critically required during the block closure will be notified separately by their respective department heads. Such employees must report to duty as they would on any normal working day. If an employee is specifically called for duty but remains absent, they will have to apply for full leave. Furthermore, no leaves will be sanctioned to any employee immediately before or after the block closure.
