301 Temporaries to be regularized in six months
Jamshedpur:Tata Motors employees will get 10 per cent annual bonus for the year 2016-17. A bonus settlement agreement was signed between Tata Motors management and TML & Drivelines Workers Union on Saturday. As per the agreement, the employees will get a minimum of Rs 17,893 and a maximum of Rs 36,018 in bonus. The average bonus amount will be Rs 29,000, sources said.
Sources said a total of 3600 Tata Motors employees and 1500 permanent workers of TML will be benefitted from the bonus agreement. The temporary employees of Tata Motors will also get 10 per cent bonus. Over 5000 temporary workers will benefit from the announcement.
The bonus amount will be sent to the bank accounts of the employees by Wednesday. The temporary workers will get bonus according to the working days in the financial year 201-17. The employees eligible for Superannuation Scheme benefits will get Rs 8500 as puja gift.
The bonus settlement agreement was signed by the manufacturing head CBVU AB Lal, plant head Sampat Kumar, GM Manas Mishra, Vishal Badshah, Ravi Singh, Sharad Singh, Kiran Narendra, union president Gurmeet Singh Tote and general secretary RK Singh in the presence of the deputy labour commissioner Rakesh Prasad.
Sources said an announcement has been made to regularize 301 temporary employees in a period of six months. The temporary workers had recently gone on agitation to demand regularization.
