Jamshedpur, March 8: The 105th International Women�s Day was celebrated in Tata Motors, Jamshedpur works, on Tuesday with a day-long colorful program attended by over 700 women employees from Tata Motors, TML Drivelines, and Tata Technology and esteemed guests.
A press communiqu� issued by Tata Motors stated that they also included other stake-holders like employees� wives and teachers of Tata Motors-aided schools by conducting multiple events in the runway to the event.
Events like �glass painting�, �coaster making� and �theme-based essay writing� saw enthusiastic participation from wives of the employees and lady teachers of the Tata Motors-aided schools along with the company�s women employees. These events were conducted on the eve of the Women�s Day.
On the Women�s Day, the program started with a talk on the legal provisions and sexual harassment avoidance and redressal policy for women by Ruth Perkins, Manager (CSR) and secretary, SHAR Committee, Tata Motors, Jamshedpur. The day included several fun-filled activities lined up such as rangoli, nail art, collage making, fancy dress (showcasing cultural diversity of India) and others.
The mega event titles �Tata Motors has talents� saw the women employees showcasing their talents in dancing, singing, playing musical instruments, acting and so on. While the employees demonstrated their talents by participating in the contests, the wives of senior executives had an exciting time judging the events.
Prizes in the events were sponsored by different companies including Tanishq, IDBI Bank, Ginger Hotels, Brubeck, DC Lounge, Sonnet, J K Residency, Godrej Interio, Beans & Bread, Aqua Salon , Regal caf�, Centre Point, Dayal International, Yashwee International, Tube Makers Club, Sodexo, In & Out etc. The event was graced by Bharti Lall, the chief guest of the occasion, along with a number of senior women employees, winners of the contests held for housewives and school teachers and spouses of senior executives.
In order to couple volunteering with celebrations and fun, stalls of Vikash Showroom, START, Asha Kiran and NEEV, one of our NGOs making beauty products, were set up in the event venue for display and sale of their products. The stalls of Flora Horticultural Society and Tanishq, at display in the venue, also saw many footfalls.
