Jamshedpur: Fire Service week is being observed from 14th to 20th April 2014 at TML (Tata motors) Jamshedpur. Today the inauguration of the week was done by Plant Head, AB Lall. During the inaugural function homage was paid to brave fighter fighters who lost their lives during fire fighting operation.
It was followed by flag hoisting and exhibition of newly inducted fire and rescue equipments. Later a live firefighting and rescue demonstration was carried by fire team.
Theme for the Fire Service week is �Fire Prevention is the best insurance�. Events like quiz competition for employees, poster making competition for school students are planned during the week. Also a Fire awareness rally and a joint mock drill along with mutual aid group is scheduled during the week.
From Union side Shri Chandrabhan Prasad was also present along with his team in the inauguration.
