Tata-Howrah Steel Express to resume service from Sep 7

Jamshedpur, Sep 3: Keeping in mind the demand of passengers, South Eastern Railway (SER) has given green signal to resume operation of Steel Express from Tata to Howrah from September 7.

It is worth mentioning that during the second wave of Corona, Steel Express service had come to a halt. Steel Express will run from Tatanagar to Howrah on all seven days of the week. The train will depart from Tatanagar at 6:10 AM and reach Howrah at 10:20 AM. In the opposite direction, this train will leave Howrah at 5:25 pm and reach Tatanagar at 9:20 pm. This train will have total 22 coaches and will have stoppage time of 2 minutes at Santragachi, Kharagpur, Jhargram, Chakulia, Ghatshila and Rakhmines.

On the other hand, two major trains are also going to start from September 7 including Howrah- Barbil Janshatabdi Express and Dhanbad-Jhargram MEMU train. 

South Eastern Railway has made a demand to the Railway Board to run the Koraput-Howrah Express train, which has been closed since Corona. South Eastern Railway has taken a step on this due to the demand of passengers. The train will start operating as soon as the Railway Board gets the green signal. Passengers of Tatanagar will also benefit from the running of the train.
