Tata Education Excellence Program recognizes Outstanding Activity Clubs in Jamshedpur Schools

Jamshedpur, Jan 27: The Tata Education Excellence Programme (TEEP) has reignited its commitment to student development with the initiation of the ‘Outstanding Activity Club’ Award for the academic year 2023-2024. This unique endeavor aims to inspire schools in Jamshedpur to harness the potential of Activity Clubs for holistic student growth.

Introduced in 2016, the ‘Outstanding Activity Club’ Award serves as a distinctive initiative by TEEP, providing a platform for Jamshedpur schools to showcase the impact of Activity Clubs on their students and society at large. The event, held at the Golmuri Club Auditorium on January 23, witnessed the participation of 23 clubs from 16 schools, including 14 English Medium schools and 2 Hindi Medium schools.

The presentations, featuring the activities conducted by the student members and teacher moderators, were assessed by a distinguished 2-member jury. The jury comprised Ashu Tiwary, Principal of Motilal Nehru Public School, and Dr Renu Mahashabde, an esteemed educator.

The program kicked off with a warm welcome by TEEP Executive Vidya Battiwalla, who introduced the jury members. Subsequently, the activity club presentations provided insights into the diverse and impactful work undertaken by the participating schools in the preceding year.

Sandhya Murthy, President of Tinplate Ladies Welfare Association, graced the occasion and lauded the hard work put in by the various clubs. The program concluded with the announcement of the best teams, with the Internet Club from KPS Burmamines securing the top position, followed by other exceptional clubs from schools such as Tarapore School Agrico, Kerala Samajam Model School, Gulmohar High School, and more.

The ‘Outstanding Activity Club’ Award not only recognizes excellence but also encourages a culture of innovation and creativity within Jamshedpur schools, contributing to the overall development of the students.
