Tata-Chakradharpur passenger train services indefinitely canceled

Jamshedpur: Commencing this Monday, the Tatanagar to Chakradharpur passenger train services have been indefinitely canceled, as per an announcement from the divisional headquarters. Previously, the train had already faced cancellations in both directions from January 8 to 15, causing inconvenience to numerous passengers. The cancellation of the Chakradharpur-Tatanagar passenger train is particularly distressing for travelers from seven stations across Kolhan.

Reports suggest that the Railways’ decision to introduce the Rourkela-Badampahar MEMU train might have led to the neglect of the Tatanagar-Chakradharpur passenger train’s operation. The new train on the same route seemingly impacted the passenger count for the Tatanagar to Chakradharpur train. Despite these challenges, there has been no official confirmation regarding the permanent cancellation of the train.

It is worth noting that, due to the absence of adequate platforms in Tatanagar, the Chakradharpur passenger train often operated from Adityapur instead of its designated station. The overall condition of the train has reportedly deteriorated due to the alleged negligence of the Railways, leaving many passengers inconvenienced.
