Tarapore School students showcase talent at speech competitions

Jamshedpur, July 24: Tarapore School came alive with eloquence and expression on Thursday as students from Classes V to XII participated in Elocution, Declamation, and DebTalks. Held on July 24, the event provided a dynamic platform for students to display their oratory skills, confidence, and clarity of thought.

The day began with the Elocution Competition for students of Classes V to VII, where participants recited poems with expressive articulation and confidence. This was followed by the Declamation Contest for Classes VIII to X, where students passionately delivered iconic speeches originally spoken by renowned leaders and public figures. The spotlight then shifted to senior students from Classes XI and XII, who took part in DebTalks—an engaging discussion on current issues that encouraged critical thinking and persuasive argumentation.

The results were as follows: In Class V, Tanmay Kaibarta (V C) won first place, followed by Ritika Singh (V C) and Aaradhya Chandra (V A). In Class VI, Harkirat Kour (VI C) emerged winner, with Shrishti Kumari (VI D) and Anshika Raj (VI A) as runners-up. Class VII saw Falaque Shamim (VII A) take the top spot, followed by Jasmine Kaur and Shagun Kumari.

In Declamation, Class VIII’s winner was Lina Zoha (VIII B), with Sanvi Singh and Raunak Kumar Dwivedi securing second and third positions. From Class IX, Isha Jana topped the list, followed by Prakhar Srivastava and Srishti Samanta. Class X winners included Snehil Ranjan, Karnika Prasad, and Anushka Kundu.

In DebTalks, Adhrija Roy (XI D) and Kriti Naredi (XII A) were declared winners for their respective classes. The event concluded with enthusiastic applause, standing as a celebration of language, articulation, and thoughtful communication among students.
