Jamshedpur, Aug 29: Tata Steel Sports Department organised inter school boys and girls handball championship on August 28-29 as part of the National Sports Day celebration, at JRD Tata Sports Complex.
In the boys event Tarpore School Agrico was crowned the winner followed by Church School Beldih and St Mary’s Hindi School.
Kerala Samajam Model School (KSMS) bagged the first position in girls’ category.
St Marys Hindi was the runner-up while Tarapore School Agrico took third place.
Chief Guest during the closing function was Kamal Kishore and Nehaluddin Dy SP (Retired). Guests handed over the trophies to the winners and runners-up teams.
Present on the occasion were Firoz Khan, Hassan Imam, Rahul Gupta, Md Ashfaque, Md Azhar Husain and Neyaz Khan.
