Jamshedpur: Tagore Society is organizing a workshop on Rabindra Sangeet at Rabindra Bhawan in Sakchi where the music and art lovers of the city are being informed about the nuances of the Rabindra Sangeet. Around 50 people who desire to learn about the Rabindra Sangeet are attending the three-day workshop.
Agnibha Bandopadhyay, head of Rabindra sangeet department at Rabindra Bharati Universty in Calcutta, is the resource person for the workshop and is giving the participants on how to give a better Rabindra Sangeet performance and also gave a lesson on the right tempo, pitch and other technicalities.
Teachers, students from various universities of the country are attending the workshop. At the concluding day the participants will be given certificates.
Secretary of Tagore Society, Ashish Choudhary, said, the main motive behind organizing the workshop is to help provide the new generation about the Rabindra Sangeet and make them ready for the future.
