Tagore House crowned overall champion at annual athletic meet


Jamshedpur: Hill Top School organized its 37th annual athletic meet at Sumant Moolgaokar Stadium in Telco on Saturday. Padma Shri Premlata Agrawal was the chief guest for the occasion who declared the meet open.

The theme of the event was agility energizes.

Series of sporting events were held to mark the day which commenced with the opening ceremony including raising of the flag by Class 12 Councilors Hrishi Raj Anand and Sagarika Mahato.

This was followed by the March past led by Plus Two students followed by the houses Nehru , Akbar, Ashoka, Tagore.

At the event winners of National Athletics & Games including Joydeep Nandi, Deepika Singh, Sumit Verma and Vikash Kumar Singh were felicitated along with the runners up team at the Inter School Basketball Tournament 2017 organized by Tata Motors.
After the felicitation aerobics by students of Classes II to IV titled fitness freaks was held.


The students of Nursery partcipated in hungry jack, wheels of the bus and shape symmetry.

For the students of LKG -Save Me, Super Hero, Drop me not and I’m a Little Milkman was organised.

Funny Bunny, JFC at Hill Top and Harry Potter with his Magic Wand was held for the students of UKG. This was followed by drill display by students of classes V to VII.

Class I events included- Delicious Pizza Just for You, Women the Invincible, the Clown is in town and Hoppity Hop.


Vikash Kumar Singh (Akbar House), Ayush Singh (Tagore House), Saumojit Das (Akbar House), Vivek Kumar (Tagore House), Abhiroop Goswami (Tagore House) and Om Prakash (Ashok House) won in the boys’ category.

Deepika Singh (Akbar House), Jhanvi ( Ashoka House), Shazmin Farah (Ashoka House), Tejeshwani Pandit (Tagore House) and Riya Sundi (Tagore House) won in the girls category.

The most disciplined house was awarded to Nehru House, March Past Championship was bagged by Akbar House while overall champions was won by Tagore House. The Event ended with the solemn ceremony of lowering of the School Flag.
