Jamshedpur, Jan. 9: An adventure enthusiast Avinash Dugar who has attempted many adventure sports feats viz., Parasailing, Jet Skiing, Paragliding, Bungee Jumping to name a few aims to bring ‘Tea Etiquette and Its Health Benefits” to Jharkhand considering that India is known to the world for Basmati Rice, Alphonso Mango and Assam/Darjeeling Tea.

As a part of his Adventurous legacy, he is trying to inspire ‘milk tea’ drinking people to take to non milk and non sugar ‘green/white tea’ and various ‘herbal teas’ drinking as a way for health promotion and as a healthy proposition.

Avinash will begin his Tea Adventure with a Symposium on “Tea Etiquette & Its Health Benefits” at The Alcor Hotel, Bistupur, Jamshedpur on Jan 11. Chief Guest for the event will be Ashish Mathur while special guest will be Mrs. Smita Parikh along with Industrialists, Businessmen, Hoteliers, Doctors, Housewives.

Talking to the mediapersons at the pre-event conference, Avinash says, the purpose of this symposium is to introduce to the common tea drinkers all about this wonderful beverage, in simple and not too technical terms.

It was only since the mid eighties, that the role of consumption of beverage and human health received attention, and since then a lot of research has been done on tea which does not have excess caffeine like coffee, does not need any preservatives and has no calories.

It is necessary that those who consume tea must know of its benefits, remove misconceptions, if any, and make the best possible use of it. Not only is drinking non milk and non sugar ‘green/white tea’ and various ‘herbal teas’ health promoting, it also helps in promoting beauty and human values, Avinash added.
