Jamshedpur, September 24. As part of cleanliness fortnight, a felicitation ceremony was organized in the hall of Adityapur Municipal Corporation (AMC) to encourage the sanitation workers.
During this, PPE kits were distributed among them. Administrator Girija Shankar Prasad honored the old lady sweeper Sombari by making her sit on his chair and giving her a bunch of flowers.
All the officials of the corporation also made the sweepers sit on their chairs in their honor and welcomed them enthusiastically.
The administrator said that the sweepers save us from diseases and the dirty places. It is these sweepers who keep these places clean.
Administrator and executive engineer Pankaj Jha distributed PPE kits (helmets, gloves, boots, jackets etc.) to all the sanitation workers and honored all the sanitation workers by giving them bouquets.
The sanitation workers of the corporation have done a good job in the special cleanliness campaign in Swachhta Pakhwada 2023. The closing ceremony of Swachhta Pakhwada will be organized on Gandhi Jayanti in which the sanitation workers will be honored again.
