Chandil, September 24: Seraikela Kharsawan police is trying to curb illegal sand lifting business by intensifying its campaign.
Under this campaign, in the early hours of Sunday, the police of Chowka police station caught three tractors illegally transporting sand. The police have taken the seized tractors to the police station. Due to lack of valid documents, the police along with its senior officers have written a letter to the District Mining Officer to investigate the sand for further action.
According to the information received, the police have caught all three tractors together from near Shatrudhnadityadev Girls High School located on the road leading from Khunti turn of Chowka-Kandra road towards Musaribedi.
