Swachhta must be everyone’s business: Anil Swarup

Jamshedpur: Jharkhand State Development Council Executive Officer Anil Swarup on Saturday participated in series of events at Jamshedpur. After inaugurating Smart Class at Jamshedpur High School and holding review meetings of various development projects in East Singhbhum at the Jamshedpur Collectorate, Anip Swarup attended Vishesh Swachhata Samvad programme at Michael John auditorium, Bistupur.

Addressing the gathering, Swarup said, a cadre of committed and inspired Swacchhagrahis/Swachhta Doots are critical in ensuring Swachhta becomes everyone’s business. CEO State Development Council, deeply appreciated their contributions in making Jamshedpur a cleaner city during Vishesh Swachhta Samvaad.

He also met Maundrita Chatterjee, class 6 student who used her pocket money to build a toilet thereby starting a mini revolution in & around Jamshedpur. He said that Jamshedpur is emerging as one of the cleanest cities in the country. Officers of Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee, Mango Notified Area Committee and Jugsalai Municipality were also in attendance.

JNAC brand ambassador Pappu Sardar who has been influential in taking up several cleanliness projects in and around the city specially with cleaning up the Chhat Ghats was also present during the Vishesh Swachhata Samvad programme.

Pappu said that government alone can’t manage cleanliness but it�s a joint effort of the people which will help keep our surrounding and city clean. ‘We must help the government in making every project successful and the work that I received from JNAC I have done it with full sincerity’, added Pappu Sardar.

Earlier, the programme was inaugurated by Anil Swarup, DC Amit Kumar, DDC B Maheshwari, JNAC Special Officer Krishna Kumar and Jusco GM Capt. Dhananjay Mishra.
