Suspicious Death Investigation of Yuvraj Paswan Submitted to Opposition Leader in Ranchi

Ranchi: Yuvraj Paswan, a student from Chatra district, met an untimely and suspicious demise on November 19, 2023, within the premises of St. John’s High School in Mandar. The BJP SC Morcha promptly established a team to delve into the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident. The investigative team has now submitted its comprehensive report to Amar Bauri, the Morcha state president and leader of the opposition, on Thursday.

Amar Bauri voiced concerns over alleged attempts by both the police administration and influential figures within the ruling party to suppress the sensitive nature of Yuvraj Paswan’s death. He highlighted what he deemed as rushed actions by the police administration and school management, including a post-mortem conducted without the presence of a magistrate. Bauri accused them of pressuring the grieving family to expedite the funeral proceedings. The BJP SC has outrightly rejected these actions, emphasizing the gravity of the investigation currently underway at the forefront.

Bauri disclosed that the family of the deceased has raised serious accusations against the local police administration, alleging tampering with the post-mortem report. Contrary to initial reports of suicide, the family insists that Yuvraj Paswan was murdered and his body disposed of in a well. Furthermore, they claim that a powerful leader from the ruling party is actively influencing the local police administration to cover up the matter, placing repeated calls to that effect.

Calling for transparency and justice, Bauri urged the government to conduct a high-level investigation into the entire incident. He asserted that the family of the deceased should be granted compensation amounting to Rs 25 lakh. The inquiry committee, entrusted with this task, comprises Morcha’s state general secretary Ranjay Bharti, state minister Kamlesh Ram, and state minister Vishal Valmiki. The unfolding developments in this case are closely monitored as the pursuit of truth continues.
