Jamshedpur: Seraikela-Kharsawan police confiscated several posters with anti-government slogans and messages written allegedly by the Maoists from Kharsawan on Thursday.
Sources said the posters were pasted on walls and other prominent places in Kadamdiha Chowk, Seraikela Road, Bidri Ghat and Aruva Road. The posters were recovered this morning by a police patrol team.
Sources said the CPI (Maoist) rebels have made a public appeal seeking support for the Jharkhand-Bihar bandh called on 3rd August. The Maoists have also sought public support on various issues including amendments in CNT and SPT laws and the recently passed land acquisition law.
Police ran a search operation in the fringe areas of the district but failed to get the culprits.
