Surprise raids on Double Down, Kwality Restaurant and Bar in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, April 29:  Following directives of Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate, Vijaya Jadhav, surprise inspections were carried out by Department of Weight and Measure at bars and restaurants at various city points. The Department’s team comprised Shashi Sangita Bara, Inspector Weights and Measures at Bistupur, Mathai Murmu, Departmental Assistant at Bistupur, KV Singh, Service Engineer of Jamshedpur conducted the raids.

Raids and surprise inspections were carried out in Sakchi and Bistupur where six such bars and restaurants were inspected out of which three bars were penalized and these were Double Down in Bistupur, Kwality Restaurant and Bar also at Bistupur and MS at Baridih under Section 24 of Legal Metrology Act 2009. Inspector of Weight and Measure informed that these raids would continue.
