Jamshedpur, Jan 27: “Ek Shaam Desh Ke Naam is a trip down memory lane. The spirit of the defense personnel on air, land and sea has always been dedicated to the Motherland and her people. Children should be provided training in the defense mechanisms so that they come to know and appreciate the discipline and daredevilry amongh the personnel. It is more than heartening to note that the youth are going full steam ahead on several fronts and creating new success stories,” observed chief guest (Retd) Air Commodore VS Marwah in his address on thje occasion of the programme, ‘Ek Shaam Desh Ke Naam,’ organized by Surabhi, the women’s wing of Marwari Yuva Manch, Steel City at the auto cluster in Adityapur on the occasion of the 72nd Republic Day celebrations.
The family members of Shahid Ganesh Hansda were honoured along with ex servicemen Hawaldar Manik Barda, Jagannath Sundi, Parshuram Singh and Satyendra Singh. The programme was jointly inaugurated by chief guest (Retd) Air Commodore VS Marwah, senior state vice president of Jharkhand Marwari Sammelan Ashok Bhalotia and Akhil Bharatiya Marwari Yuva Manch national convener Vijay Anand Moonka.

In her welcome address, Surabhi president Manisha Sanghi reviewed the social services and initiatives launched by the organization. The programme was jointly anchored PSZMS general secretary Arun Gupta and Surabhi spokesperson Kavita Agrawal.
The programme was a delightful combination of heartwarming patriotic songs, colourful dance items and the children of Surabhi members put up dazzling items based on female feticide and safe environment. The entire event was sponsored by social worker Ashok Chowdhary, Sitaram, Bajrang Chowdhary, Ashok Gupta, Sanjay Debuka and Rajkumar Agrawal. Among those present on the occasion included Santosh Agrawal, Ashok Modi, Umesh Shah and others. The team of organizers was composed of ex army man Shekhar, Surabhi secretary Usha Chowdhary, convener Nidhi Agrawal, Kavita Agrawal and the rest of the organization’s members.
