Jamshedpur: Marwari Yuva Manch Steel City Surabhi branch members comprising president Parul Chetani, secretary Nisha Singhal, Usha Chowdhary, Mamata Agrawal, Renu Agrawal, Pinki and Manisha today visited Gandhi Ashram in New Baradwari and distributed free lunch among 200 residents there.
Ladies, elderly people and children recited mantras before partaking of the food. They were told that food should not be wasted or left uneaten on plates as that angered God.
The grueling heat conditions at noon with the mercury touching 43 degrees Celsius did not deter the Surabhi team members from serving lunch to the happy and satisfied residents of Gandhi Ashram.
